We are collecting annual survey topic proposals now through Friday, May 1, 2026. These topics, coupled with the annual staffing and center demographic questions, allow us to better understand your center and to share insights in publications.
When sharing your topics, please limit them to no more than 8 questions. Questions should be multiple choice; ranking and metric tables are suggested; free text is discouraged. To submit your topics please email qi@t1dexchange.org and cc nrioles@t1dexchange.org and crainey@t1dexchange.org with your ideas.
2026 Learning Session - Call for Abstracts!
T1D Exchange has opened the call for abstracts for the November Learning Session. We invite QI Collaborative centers to submit abstracts on both T1D and T2D topics.
Selected abstracts will be considered for publication in the Journal of Diabetes and for oral or poster presentations at the November Learning Session (November 10 & 11, 2026).
Please submit your abstract using the link below by July 31, 2026.
The submission link includes a list of topic areas of interest and guidance on Journal of Diabetes formatting requirements.
T1D Exchange values your involvement in the QI Collaborative! This survey will be used to evaluate engagement opportunities based on your level of participation and the value that they provide to your center. Please fill out the T1DX-QI Engagement Survey.
Additional Guidance for 2026-2028 Measures
These documents are intended for PIs and key diabetes center personnel who have a hand in reporting T1DX-QI data to T1D Exchange monthly. Our intent is to show you what has changed so that your center is able to report 2026-2028 for uniform benchmarking, and who can address your questions.
ATTD Highlights
Congratulations to Carla Demeterco-Berggren, MD, PhD, on presenting at ATTD last month. Her presentation, titled “Implementing Early-Stage Type 1 Diabetes Detection in Clinical Practice: Practical Insights from a U.S. Academic Pediatric Center,” highlighted the T1DX-QI’s goal to expand T1D screening, staging, and monitoring for individuals at higher risk of developing T1D.
