    QI Portal User Feature

    Name: Beth Wells

    Site: SUNY Adult and Pediatric

Years with the T1DX-QI: 4 years

    Beth Wells

1.What is your favorite feature in the Portal and why?

The feature I like the most is the “Compare” feature when looking at reports.  With this feature it allows me to see how my clinic is doing and where it ranks among other clinics with similar if the not the same set up.  It allows me to instantly learn and see where our clinic could improve and grow.

    2. Practically speaking, which feature (in addition to above) do you use most often and why?

Beyond using the compare feature, I enjoy the library resources. This feature allows me to learn from other practices or programs that have already trialed and learned from implementation.  We all learn from one another and this allows us to easily obtain this information and not rely on what is found in “Google”.

    3. How does the Portal support your improvement efforts?

The portal allows me to see reports right away on measures that my organization can not readily support in such a short time frame.  This allows our center to identify where improvement is needed and how best we should direct the initiative.

    4. What do you dream the portal could do that it doesn’t do currently?

I wish it captured data more widely for the clinics. Currently when data is pulled from the EMR it is very focused from one data point when it could pull from multiple data points within the EMR.
