    Portal Plot- Two New Features!

    New! Expanded Health Equity Features

Data mapped clinics can now disaggregate QI metrics by gender, language, and insurance (in addition to race/ethnicity, available previously) on the Reports tab. Select one of the equity options below the chart title to use this feature. Then, select the identities/demographics you would like displayed (see example of pump use by insurance type below).

All clinics have access to a new notification bell, which will alert you to new articles and metric changes since your last log in! Look for the new notification bell in your screen's upper right-hand corner. Click the star icon to favorite your notifications for easy access next time

    QI Portal User Feature

    1. What is your favorite feature in the Portal and why?

My favorite feature of the Portal would be the comparison reports.  It is informative to know where we stand and what improvements our clinic can make, but also to know what clinics have successfully sustained improvements over time.  Being able to compare clinics you can gain insight and ideas from others to see what has or hasn't been effective

    2. Practically speaking, which feature (in addition to above) do you use most often and why?

Practically speaking the dashboard is the feature I use the most often so I can quickly obtain data if a question is asked by a provider.  In addition, the dashboard is used most often because I am able to show our team areas of improvement, reflecting their dedication to improving outcomes for our patients.

    3. How does the Portal support your improvement efforts?

The Portal supports our improvement efforts by being able to numerically see how our changes have improved outcomes.  We are also able to see if the changes have been sustainable or if data rises or drops during certain times of the year.

    4. What do you dream the Portal could do that it doesn't do currently?

The QI Portal is already amazing however I would love to see new onset type 1 diabetic data, including if they were in DKA at diagnosis, as well as severity.  I feel this would be interesting to see the difference in on month to month but also year by year.  In addition would possibly be eye opening if you looked spreading awareness to pediatrician/PCP offices and if the awareness decreased the DKA's at diagnosis.
