New Questions:
Question:
I’m reaching out to inquire about partner organization’s experiences/ best practices related to CDCES guidelines for pattern review and insulin dose adjustments for patients. Currently, our MDs and APRNs own all dose adjustment responsibilities and we are hoping to shift to the CDCES team. Any insights into strategies for successful implementation would be greatly appreciated

Question:
For the pediatric centers: Currently at Cook the diabetes educators take any urgent call from Friday at 5pm-Monday at 8am and will also do inpatient education for newly diagnosed patients. I am trying to change the call portion and wanted to see if anyone had information I can benchmark from.Who is responsible for your weekend and holiday diabetes calls? Do the CDCES, fellow’s, endocrinologist, triage nurses (used for PCP or all specialties) take calls? Additionally, how do you handle new onsets on weekends and holidays? Do the diabetes educators perform new onset education on the weekends and holidays? Thank you!

Question:
For those who do electronic completion of PHQ, do you include question 9 (re SI) or do you only include 1-8 and ask 9 in person?
