    QI Portal User Feature

    Name: Julie Samuels

Site: Pediatrics, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital

Years with the T1DX-QI: 1 year

    1. What is your favorite feature in the Portal and why?

Definitely the Library tab (and not just because my site is not data mapped). I love all the resources listed in this section, and when we’re starting a new project or looking for resources, I like to start in the Library tab.

    2. Practically speaking, which feature (in addition to the above) do you use most often and why?

I use the library tab the most frequently, mainly because I only have access to the other ones. I can’t wait to use the Dashboard and play with the other tabs soon once we’re data mapped!

    Julie Samuels

    3. How does the Portal support your improvement efforts?

Having the resources from other sites helps guide us in our current projects, and gives us ideas for the future. It’s nice having all these articles in one place, and I love learning from other teams and truly making this a collaborative effort.

    4. What do you dream the portal could do that it doesn’t do currently?

I wish the tools for the patient section was expanded. Having pre-developed and potentially vetted handouts to give to the patients I think could really help support the patient’s journeys, while also preventing us from having to recreate documents that already exist.
