Survey information has been shared with centers' PIs and coordinators. One survey should be completed by each clinic, and the deadline is October 4th. Thank you for completing the survey to help us learn more about the Collaborative network!
We received a record number of T1DX-QI Learning Session abstracts this year, and we are beyond thankful for all of your contributions! The abstracts are in review, and we will share final decisions after September 5th.

QI Portal Users Feature
The T1DX-QI Portal has been adding features and enhancements over the years to assist you in your QI work. As a result, we thought it would be a fitting time to revisit the T1DX-QI Portal User Feature. If you'd like to be spotlighted in your very own interview, please reach out to QI@t1dexchange.org and we can share the questions with you. And, as always, signing up for the portal is fast, easy, and can be done by following this link.

What is your favorite feature in the QI Portal and why?
Our center is working on increasing equity in insulin pump/AID use. I like being able to use the portal to look at our pump/AID use by race/ethnicity over time.
Practically speaking, which feature (in addition to the above) do you use most often and why?
I love the resource library. The best thing about being part of the T1D Exchange is learning from others doing innovative work. If our team wants to start a new project, I go to the resource library first to see what has been done by others in the Exchange. I’ve learned so much from this collaboration – it’s great to know we’re all in this together!
How does the QI Portal support your improvement efforts?
The portal helps us make data driven decisions to improve diverse areas of care from transition to pump/AID use. Seeing comparisons between centers helps drive us all toward improvement and excellence.
What do you dream the QI Portal could do that it doesn’t do currently?
For benchmarking purposes, I’d like to be able to see collaborative wide pump/AID use broken down by race/ethnicity.
Spotlight on the Reports tab in the QI Portal
The QI Team is excited to highlight a key feature of the T1DX-QI Portal: the Reports tab. This powerful tool allows you to generate custom reports to better understand your patient data. Here's what you can do:
Toggle between Unique and Qualified patients:
Unique patients: those with a finished encounter during the reporting month. The unique patient toggle is more inclusive and captures a center's total population.
Qualified patients: those with a finished encounter during the reporting month and who have had diabetes for over a year and at least one A1c lab recorded in the last year. The qualified patient toggle removes recently diagnosed patients and patients that do not regularly attend clinic, so may represent your typical patient population.
Select metrics
Choose metrics from the left-hand side. Each metric will generate its own graph for easy visualization.
Apply filters
Filters can be selected from the top of the page. Each filter will create a color-coded key on the right-hand side, allowing you to compare subcategories of interest.
We hope you’ll explore the Reports tab and everything it has to offer!
QI Portal Issue Report Form
We’ve developed a new Qualtrics Form to help centralize the reporting of bugs and data quality issues within the Portal. If you encounter a bug or notice a data issue, please use this form to let us know—we’ll work to resolve it as quickly as possible.
